Submission & Word Count Limits

Automated Validation & Mandatory Fields
The OMCAR submission portal uses an automated validation system. You will not be able to proceed to the final submission until the following mandatory fields are completed:
- πStructured Abstractβ Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion
- βοΈEthics Statementβ IRB approval or patient consent declaration
- ποΈAuthor Affiliationsβ Valid institutional email addresses for all contributors
- π€Conflict of Interestβ Clear disclosure statement (including "none")
Payment & Submission Flow
To complete your abstract submission to OMCAR, please pay the required submission fee. Payment of βΉ100 plus applicable GST is mandatory before finalizing submission. After successful payment you will be able to upload the copyright form and submit your abstract.
Step 01 β Review your abstract draft
Ensure Title, Authors, Affiliations, and Structured Abstract (Background; Methods; Results; Conclusion) are complete.
Step 02 β Click the payment button
Pay βΉ100 + GST
Step 03 β Complete payment
You will be redirected to a secure checkout page. On success you will receive an on-screen confirmation and a PDF invoice by email.
Step 04 β Return to final submission form
After payment, the submission form unlocks the final step: β’ Upload Copyright & License Form (signed) - mandatory β’ Upload Payment Invoice (PDF) - mandatory β’ Tick the submission declaration checkbox β’ Click βSubmit Abstractβ
Step 05 β Confirmation
On successful submission you receive: β’ Email with Submission ID β’ Submitted abstract summary and DOI assignment information (if accepted) β’ Copy of invoice and submitted documents
Required Uploads (Mandatory)
- Copyright & License Form (signed by corresponding author)
- Payment Invoice (PDF) issued after successful payment
- Any additional documents requested by the conference (if applicable)

Different article types require specific abstract formats. Please select and follow the appropriate structure for your submission type. Download the corresponding template to ensure your abstract meets all requirements.
Original Article
Structured Abstract with the following headings:
- Background: Context and rationale for the study
- Methods: Study design, participants, and procedures
- Results: Key findings with relevant data
- Conclusion: Interpretation and implications
250β500 words (excluding title and author affiliations)
Review Article
Unstructured Abstract β A single continuous paragraph summarizing:
- Purpose and scope of the review
- Key topics or themes covered
- Main conclusions and clinical implications

Case Report
Structured Abstract with the following headings:
- Background: Brief introduction to the case and its significance
- Case Presentation: Patient demographics, presenting symptoms, clinical findings
- Management and Outcome: Treatment approach and patient outcome
- Discussion: Clinical implications and learning points
